It's been 40 years of quattro (Audi's all-wheel-drive) and they've whipped up a special edition TT to celebrate.

Audi also offers the same engine that powers the two TT RS models in the RS 3 Sportback — due to arrive in Singapore next quarter. It takes 4.6 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h — a best-in-class performance figure. Its governed top speed is 250 km/h. Audi Singapore has been receiving orders for the car even before its launch. This is the seventh category win in a row at the International Engine of the Year Awards for Audi TFSI technology and the second year in a row that the Audi 2.5 litre TFSI has won the award. Between 2005 and 2009, the Audi 2.0-litre TFSI engine has won the award in the 1.8 to two litre category.

Audi Wins International Engine Of The Year Award 2011 For 2.5-litre TFSI

A jury of 76 international motoring journalists has voted the Audi 2.5 litre TFSI as the “International Engine of the Year 2011” in the two litre to 2.5 litre category.

The new TT RS now comes with a seven-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission, as compared to its predecessor that only received six gears. The top speed is still electronically limited to 250km/h, but it takes the coupe 4.3 seconds to do the 0-100km/h sprint, as opposed to 4.6 seconds.
